My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. On the bright side, the rooms, although in need of urgent renovation, still maintained some original features, but unfortunately, the view from my room was not ideal with noisy gamblers opposite. The service was impressive overall, although some cocktail training would have been beneficial for consistency. The location was quiet but a bit drab, yet convenient for walking to nearby restaurants. The dining experience, while adequate, left much to be desired with undercooked and stale food. The facilities offered were decent but could use some improvements.

I found the hotel to be conveniently located for the Tauranga Marathon Event and within walking distance to the Strand. The rooms were lovely and clean, but the distance from reception was a bit inconvenient. The service was very nice and friendly. The dining was very good, although some breakfast items were disappointing. Overall, it was a positive stay with a few minor drawbacks.
